Over the summer a small committee of administrators took some time to draft an Athletic Handbook. The new KCHS Athletic Handbook (AH) is ready for publication. If you are a parent of an athlete, please take a few moments to review the athletic department's policies & procedures articulated in this handbook.
Please keep in mind that this handbook is a living document. In the future, athletic policies & procedures may change or be adjusted to better meet the needs of our school & our student-athletes. In the future when changes to the AH are made, all coaches, players, & parents of players will be notified.
Most of the policies & procedures articulated in the new AH are simply clarifications of the way the KCHS athletic department has been operating in the past. However, I would like to encourage you to read through the eligibility policy/procedure. At first glance, the policy appears to be very complex & punitive; however, when put into practice, the policy becomes much more of a preventative measure & encourages more immediate accountability for the student-athletes.
