Members of our Varsity Team were treated to a special day at the world renown American Dunes Golf Club for the Capt. Sally Invitational. The invitational brought together 15 of the top schools in Michigan Girls Golf, and provided them an opportunity to experience and support the Folds of Honor, our own K-Christian Hero, and all military members/first responders. The event today raised about $2400 for the Folds of Honor through team contributions. The Folds of Honor helps support the families of those who have lost loved ones in the line of duty. The girls honored K-Christian Graduate Erin Roser. Erin graduated from K-Christian in 2000, and entered the US Army at age 19. She served as a Military Police officer in both Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) and Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF). In her time in the Army she helped to reinforce buildings, establish a military presence in Baghdad, provide traffic points and offer security for troops in multiple stations including Germany and Iraq. If any of you have a chance to visit American Dunes in the future, I highly suggest it! Lilly Locker led scoring for the Comets with a 94, finishing in 25th place overall. Sydney Earley (99, 37th place), Rylee Slater (105, 49th Place), Olivia Hanel (108, 57th Place) and Naomi Devires (112, 64th Place) rounded out the team scoring of 406, finishing in 11th place. Next up, the Comets look to secure the SAC Conference Championship at Cheshire Hills tomorrow morning. Tee off is 8:30AM. Go Comets
