For the 6th consecutive season, the Comets Girls Golf Team is the SAC Conference Champion. Today's team score of 364 at Cheshire Hills was 37 strokes ahead of runner up Cassopolis. Lilly Locker completed her Senior Year SAC season as the Valley Division Player of the Year for the second consecutive season, placing her on a short list of Comet Golfers to Achieve this accolade in school history. Her score of 90 today placed her 4th and led the Comets. Rylee Slater (91 - 5th Place), Sydney Earley (91 - 5th Place), Naomi Devries (92 - 7th place), Olivia Hanel (99 - 9th Place) and Jennifer Browning (108 - 19th Place) completed the team score. Locker, Slater, Earley, Hanel and Devries were all named to the Valley 1st Team All Conference Team. Jennifer Browning completed her Senior season by earning All-Conference Honorable Mention. The Varsity team can now turn its focus to the post season. Regionals are set for Tuesday, October 6th at Cascades Golf Course in Jackson, MI. The State Finals are scheduled for October 16-17 at the Meadows of GVSU, where the Comets will look to return to the podium after winning the finals in 2024. Go Comets!
